While PCCC offers our dedicated Employment & Training service to assist our Indigenous peoples, there are also a range many other great resources, programs and support services available that may assist you.
We've compiled a list of Employment resources that are available to the public that may be of interest to you or help someone you know in the community.

Housing & Employment (HEP) Program
Struggling to pay your rent whilst studying?
You may be eligible for the Housing and Employment Program, which provides financial and other supports for low income earners to sustain their tenancy while studying.
The Program is delivered by MAX Solutions, and is funded under the Qld Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy.

Central Queensland Indigenous Development - Next Step Plus
Helping young Indigenous people develop the ability to live independently.
Next Step Plus is a free service available for young people between the ages of 15 and 25 who are leaving, or have left care. Next Step Plus can help you achieve your goals, build your life skills so you can be the best person you want to be.
If your between 15-18 years old and in care, Next Step Plus can support you with your transition from care planning. If you’re between 18-25 years and have had a care experience at any time after your 12th birthday, Next Step Plus can support you.

Indigenous Youth Engagement & Transitions Program (IYET)
Indigenous Youth Engagement & Transitions Program (IYET) is based in Kingston and services Logan, Redlands, Ipswich and Brisbane South.
IYET offers culturally appropriate support including help with uncovering reasons for disengagement and providing specialist referrals to address personal, health and social issues.

Youth Employment Program (YEP)
The Youth Employment Program (YEP) is an employment support program for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are finishing high school and looking for work or considering further education.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a Certificate III or higher, who are not supported by a job agency, can also be supported through YEP.
YEP staff in your region can help you:
- with your choice of career
- link to job vacancies
- connect you to culturally capable services
- with pre-employment support such preparing resumes and for job interviews
- get support for any life challenges that make it difficult to find work
- access training opportunities.
